The article was shared to me by
a very good friend. The message is
very enlightening.
A churchgoer wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.
"Ive gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me I can't remember a single one of them. So I think I"m wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermon at all."
This started a real controversy in the "Letter to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: I've been married for 30 years now. In that time, my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this: They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me those meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!
Faith sees the invisible,
believes the incredible, and received
the impossible!

Hi there,
this is a very enlightening post. thanks for sharing this. Exactly,
I mean people go to church wondering how and what they are gonna get from it.
Worshipping God is not about what we get, it's about what we can give to Him.
And everything follows, good health, prosperity, material blessings, good relationships, good job, good everything,
Seek Ye First His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
God said ALL THESE THINGS! not some, not few, not more, not most, not majority of, BUT ALL!
God bless you my brother!
eRipple is right. There are so many Sunday christians, but few can be called true christians. We're supposed to listen to the Words of God to spiritually uplift us, yet, we don't keep meaning to do so.
Did you get to hear mass sa Aramco Camp last 24th?
Here where I live in Chicago, Illinois we have the same problem, all neighbours will tell me they pray and I will see them at Church on Sundays but that is about as much as they follow our Lord JesusChrist. One pray a day, one attendance to mass a week, not what one would call a truth Christian but more like a weekend Christian.
Great article, thanks!
It's unfortunate we can't hear Holy Mass here!
