IT'S TIME TO HARVEST THE DATES!

A date picker enjoying the harvest.

A welcome sight in Qatif and Al-Hasa, two primary date-growing areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Date palm pickers generally use climbing harness instead of ladder.

Lining the front side of our building are palm dates and most of them are yellow varieties. Yes, they are very sweet. My Saudi colleagues enjoy them very much with cups of tea.

I am not much into eating palm dates. Too sweet for me!
