An aerial view of Jabal Qarah Mountain, embraced by old Qarah Village in Al Hasa. The palm groves are seen surrounding the village on all sides.
The Al-Hasa region is the largest oasis in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has a dry, tropical climate, with a five-month summer and a relatively cold winter. It is famous for its palm groves and the Jabal Qarah Mountain.
... chunks of fallen limestones near the entrance to the cave ...
The Jabal Qarah Mountain, east of Hofuf, is one of the tourist attractions of the region. Date palms encircle this hill in a fascinating view that shows nature’s beauty and charm. It’s worth mentioning that the hill contains a cave, which is very cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The mountain is also known as Ash-Shab’an (the satiated). It is surrounded by rivers and palms. It is named after a large, well-known eastern village in promixity of the mountain.
The mountain has series of very deep and narrow joint-controlled fissures in a massive limestone outcropping. Most passages are open to the sky, but cool air settles in the fissures. The cave's main passage is almost three meters wide and 30 meters high. Most of the passages are illuminated during the brightest part of the day, but some passages beneath breakdown wedges attain absolute darkness for short distances. The floor generally is smooth and slopes gently toward the entrance.

Wow Interesting and Nice pics.
The view around the cave is already exciting. Inside the cave it is even more fantastic and awesome, pero kakatakot!
I hope, too, that you get the chance to visit the kingdom. The best time of the year to come is in the months of November, December, January, February, and March, where the weather is real cool. The wind may be penetrating in the months of January and February, but somehow tolerable.
Hello Ms Sweetiepie,
Many thanks for the visit! I appreciate it very much!
Tito Bay,
We are visiting the cave again before I go back to the Philippines. It's really exciting there!
I'll visit your blogspot always!

JM,
You just be careful. I heard that there aren't much light in the cave now. Be mindful of the slippery areas around. Enjoy!
JM,
Give me an account of your trip to the cave before you leave. Call me!
Have a wonderful and blessed trip!
Tito Bay
Ria,
Yes, the cave is really fantastic. It's summertime, you can imagine the many locals and expats going there. My friends are inviting me to join them again. It's is a two-hour drive from Al-Khobar!
Sorry for the late reply! Kind of busy. Besides, my friends are also using my pc everytime they come here.
Is Ronnie back?
Uncle
Namasyal kami sa Al-Qarah weeks ago, OK pa rin ang dating! The air inside is so cool and refreshing.
Hey, secret your face, kilala na kita kahit magtago ka pa sa balat ng gawgaw. Anyways, ikuwento mo na lang ang latest escapades 'nyo sa Al-Qarah. Sabi nila di na raw tulad ng dati.
I heard Arman resigned from Port Store. Where is he connected now! He's nice and polite!
