The Myth
Ostriches bury their heads in the sand!
The Fact
Since Roman times, ostriches have been said to be so dim that they react to danger by sticking their heads in the ground. They've thus become a metaphor for humans, who refuse to accept reality, preferring to ignore the truth, like children sticking their fingers in their ears and crying: "na ... na... I can't hear you!" In fact, however, ostriches react to danger in the most sensible, obvious way available to a flightless bird capable of running at 40 mph. They skedaddle.
So where does the myth come from? Well, ostriches swallow sand and pebbles to help grind up food in their stomachs. This means they have to bend down and briefly stick their heads in the earth to collect the pebbles.

And in the office we bury our heads in work, yet unappreciated!
What is the meaning of skedaddle, anyway?
Ria, welcome back! That was quick ijasa you had. You should have stayed a little longer. Email me asap. Thanks!
To skedaddle means to move or run away quickly.
Don't expect to be appreciated at all with your hard work because they don't even know the meaning of the word.
A week ago, a friend told me that it is good to invest in ostrich business. Kinakain ba ang ostrich?
Somebody has told me the same thing about ostrich breeding.
They are saying that ostrich meat tastes like beef, but has less than half the fat. Most people think the meat would be like chicken or turkey, but its not. You can have it ground up, you can make roasts or steaks out of it... and its actually really tasty. Seeing how they're healthier than beef, tastes just about the same, I think more people should explore substituting it for health aspect. Our obesity rate is outrageous. Turkey is a good substitute for chicken and beef.
So, shall we go into ostrich business ngekkkk!!!
