Though popularly thought to have been an Egyptian, Cleopatra was a Macedonian, the daughter of Ptolemy XI. She married two of her brothers and was the mistress of both Caesar and Mark Antony.

I didn't know that Cleopatra was not an Egyptian. Many thanks for posting this article. Your other articles are very informative, too! I will always visit your blogspot.

Enjoy! I am using my initials!

... and if Cleo has had a different nose, as they say, all the story/history would have been different !

As a matter of fact : HI !
Hope you and your mate will get that famous visa. You could really enjoy Paris if your holidays last as long as the Ramadan. Don't miss the Belleville area in Ramadan time.

Yes, I read something about the theory of Cleopatra's. It has something to do with Cleo's prominent prow, which enticed Marc Anthony so much that he lost track of time, which led to the collapse of the Roman Empire. But it was just a theory.

I am looking forward to getting a Schengean visa and enjoy Paris, the city of lights.
