FORGIVENESS IS HEALING

Yesterday, the healing power of forgiveness was all upon me. I reconciled with the people who hurt and wronged me.

It is not worth to live our lives harboring ill feelings for others and waiting for the time to revenge upon someone that has done us wrong. This is a dead end way of living life. Most of the time it costs more time and effort to avenge a wrongdoing than to simply forget. It is a painful process. It takes time and effort to practice forgiveness, as it does not happen overnight, and it will take humility to recognize and acknowledge angry feelings. But if we ask our heavenly Father for a gift of forgiveness, He will surely help us. Hatred retards our spiritual development and growth.

LOVING IS GIVING

Who taught us a dramatic lesson in giving with love?

Love doesn't calculate; it spends lavishly! But how can someone in poverty give more than someone who has ample means? The answer is very simple: love is more precious than gold! Real giving must come from the heart. A gift that is given with a grudge or for display loses most of its value, but a gift given out of love, with a spirit of generosity and sacrifice, is invaluable. The amount or size of the gift doesn't matter as much as the cost to the giver.

What we have to offer may look very small and not worth much, but if we put all we have at the His disposal, no matter how insignificant it may seem, then He can do with it and with us what is beyond our reckoning.

Do you know the joy and freedom of giving liberally to God and to neighbor with gratitude and love?

"You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving".
